The unique and beautiful landscape with its deep gorges cut by the many rivers that flow through the region make for excellent hiking, biking, and kayaking or canoeing. In the south part of the Department, the high escarpments provide an ideal space for the more adventuresome to go hang gliding! You can also walk on the various Pilgrimage routes that cross the area on their way to Santiago de Compestella over the Pyrenees and into Spain.
